The Charon humanoid is an unidentified non-human species, inferred from architectural evidence at Pluto discovered by Tsiolkovsky’s landing party in 2131. No physical remains were recovered. The species’ existence is deduced from the scale of the facilities: a domed chamber containing multiple reclined seats arranged in a circle, each sized for an occupant between three and four meters standing height, and a smaller single seat in a downed surface craft. One seat in the subsurface chamber, differentiated by illuminated markings, produced an unexplained cognitive event when approached by Commander Jakub Novák — a directional impression of another vessel elsewhere in the Kuiper Belt, which the Directorate is treating as evidence of a direct neural interface mechanism. The species’ technology includes a gravitational-calibration structure in Charon’s orbit, surface and subsurface facilities, and spacecraft whose debris comprises the moons Styx and Kerberos. The architectural character is consistent across sites: unlit interiors, seamless surfaces, and a complete absence of recognizable controls, displays, or instrumentation.
