Suhail Station is a rotating torus at Earth-Moon L5, 400,000 kilometres from Earth, that opened on 3 November 2086 as the largest pressurised structure ever built off Earth. Specifications: 800 metres in ring diameter, 1.4-kilometre overall spine, approximately 118,000 cubic metres of habitable pressurised volume across four gravity bands (1.0g outer promenade, 0.38g “Martian,” 0.16g “lunar,” zero-g central docking core), approximately 84,000 tonnes, surpassing Tiangong, Mir-Tian, and the combined Shackleton lunar surface stations in both mass and enclosed volume.

Approximately 90% of structural mass originates from lunar regolith processed at the Zvezda and Guanghan industrial annexes. Radiation shielding employs the Cladosporium sphaerospermum var. zvezdae biocomposite first published open-access by the Institute of Microbiology, Moscow, in 2029 — now manufactured license-free on three continents. Effective dose rate at L5 is within 15% of equivalent LEO exposure.

At full occupancy, the station accommodates 1,200 guests and approximately 400 permanent crew. Construction proceeded in eleven major assembly phases between 2058 and 2086 under the Oman Orbital Development Authority, founded in 2027 with a sixty-year charter. Final outfitting was contracted to private cislunar logistics firms.

Suhail Station is the physical culmination of the Era I infrastructure arc: built from lunar material made economical by the Zvezda and Guanghan mass-driver programmes, shielded by Soviet open-release biotechnology, and serviced by cislunar tugs operating on Kuzmin-derived propulsion. It is the proof that the infrastructure documented across the preceding century has matured into an economy capable of building the largest pressurized structure in human history without requiring any single government to fund it.
