Luna, 2148 ES. Twenty-four years after her last sit-down with this outlet, Dr. Amelia T. Murphy — now 73, founder of Nova Biosciences, and by her own account a continuous user of her own company’s treatment since the company’s 2122 founding — spoke with LIN about the anti-aging network Nova Biosciences now operates across seven Omani-licensed stations system-wide, and about a demand curve she describes as “the best problem I’ve ever had."

"I Am the Longest-Running Trial We Have”

LIN: You’ve been on your own protocol longer than anyone else alive. What’s that actually like, twenty-six years in?

Murphy: It’s strange to say out loud, but I am, functionally, my own longest-running human trial. I’m seventy-three. Every cellular marker we track — epigenetic clock, telomere length, methylation drift — reads like someone in their late thirties, and has for a while now. I didn’t build this to be a spokesperson for it. I built it to protect radiation-exposed crews. But I’m not going to stand up and sell something I wouldn’t put in my own body for a quarter century, and I have.

LIN: Demand on Earth is reportedly enormous right now. Walk us through why that demand can’t just be met on Earth.

Murphy: Two separate reasons, and people conflate them constantly. One is regulatory — the treatment is only licensed for administration at Omani-authorized stations, under the terms Oman Orbital Development Authority negotiated when this platform was still a radiation-countermeasure story, not an aging story. The other is us, honestly — we’ve chosen to keep this a station-administered protocol rather than push for broad terrestrial licensing, partly for oversight reasons and partly because, I won’t pretend otherwise, the current business model depends on it.

The Network

Nova Biosciences currently operates across what the company internally calls three station classes, all under Omani license:

Hayat-class stations combine full hospital-grade medical infrastructure with hotel accommodation — the only class currently offering the anti-aging protocol alongside broader space-health treatment. Suhail Station, at Earth-Moon L5, is the largest and closest to Earth, and handles the bulk of first-time patient volume. Badr Station, on Mars, pairs the same protocol with dedicated treatment for bone density loss, radiation exposure, and a 1g centrifuge ring for gravity-deconditioning recovery — built on top of what was already operating as a hotel. Sahar Station, in far Ceres orbit, completes the Hayat trio.

Rafah-class stations are hospitality only, no medical infrastructure: Qamar Station, in lunar orbit, and Manar Station, at the Jupiter L4 point, with three further Rafah-class builds currently in planning.

Shifa-class stations are the reverse — hospital only, no hotel function: Najm Station, in Jovian safe orbit beyond Callisto, and Afiya Station, which came online at Titan orbit in 2145, our newest facility.

LIN: Why build hotel-only and hospital-only stations at all, rather than Hayat-class everywhere?

Murphy: Cost and demand shape, mostly. Not every location needs both functions — Manar gets you tourism traffic at Jupiter without justifying a full hospital build yet, and Najm and Afiya exist because there’s a resident and transient population out at Jupiter and Titan that needs real medical infrastructure whether or not they’re there for us specifically. We fill in around what a location actually needs.

The Business of It

LIN: Talk numbers. What does someone actually sign up for?

Murphy: We offer visit packages at monthly, three-month, and six-month tiers — that’s the length of stay and how much gets bundled in, not the dosing schedule itself. The Aging Core redose is still an annual or semi-annual clinical protocol; that hasn’t changed since the original filing. What scales with package length is everything around it — diagnostics, any station-specific treatment like Badr’s bone density work, and how much of your visit is medical versus, frankly, vacation. Our rejuvenation package folds in every space-related health degradation issue we treat, not just aging, under one stay.

LIN: And the price.

Murphy: For someone starting early — late twenties, early thirties — we’re looking at roughly 12,500 UN credits per visit on our standard monthly payment plan. That number climbs meaningfully for anyone starting in their forties or fifties, because you’re asking the treatment to do more reversal work, not just maintenance, from the first dose. I tell people constantly: this is not a treatment where waiting is free.

LIN: How many people are actually on this protocol system-wide?

Murphy: By our own estimate, north of a hundred thousand active subscribers since we opened commercial access in the early 2130s. Most of them Earth-origin, making the trip out specifically for this. A meaningful share are people already living and working in space who added it once it existed. I’d love for that number to be ten times higher. It will be, eventually. I just don’t control the licensing timeline.

LIN: Last question. What do you say to someone on Earth reading this who can’t currently justify the trip?

Murphy: Go anyway, if you can, even just once, even on our smallest package — we run first-visit promotions specifically for that reason, because I’d rather someone start at thirty on our cheapest tier than wait until fifty and pay for it twice over. And if you truly can’t — I understand that, and I don’t have a good answer for you today beyond that we’re working on it. I didn’t start this company to build something only a hundred thousand people could ever access. I started it to fix a radiation problem nobody else was solving. This is what it turned into. I’m still figuring out, some days, what to do with that.
