Kosmodrom Zarya (Космодром Заря, “Dawn Cosmodrome”) — major lunar launch and landing facility, one of two primary orbital ports on Luna (alongside Guanghan Port). By 2157, together with Guanghan Port, handled more than a hundred launches per day. In March 2156, a Kuzmin-drive freighter out of Kosmodrom Zarya passed within 140 metres of a spent upper stage from the 2040s, executing an emergency collision-avoidance burn that injured three crew members — one of two near-miss incidents that accelerated the formation of the UN Orbital Remediation Administration.
