Dr. Shiva Almasi is a scholar at the University of Tehran and author of The International Zionism (University of Tehran Press, 2050), the first major account of the dissolution of the State of Israel written from the Iranian side. Her first child — eleven years old — was among the 106 people killed in the Israeli airstrike on the Shahid Motahhari school in Minab on 17 December 2032; she states in the book’s preface that it began as grief and became research. Her central argument — that Israel was an international project with a national address, ended not by military defeat but by the withdrawal of the scaffolding — is published concurrently with, and frequently paired against, Prof. Kwame Adeyemi’s account from the side of the international institutions.
